DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW TYPE OF MANUFACTURING CHAIN FOR HIGH ADDED VALUE COMPONENTS USING WAAM FOR VALIDATION
The main goal of the project is to develop WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) technologies alongside the entire process chain required to manufacture medium and large high-value parts for challenging industries, like offshore mooring components.
Project data:
- Consortium: Ten Basque companies (Addilan Fabricación Aditiva, Ona Electroerosión, Lagun Machine Tools, Cadtech, Sariki, Izar Cutting Tools, Grupo TTT, CT Ingenieros, Amondarain and Vicinay Cadenas) have participated in the project with five R&D units of the Basque Science and Technology Network (Tecnalia, IK4-Lortek, Mondragón Unibertsitatea, Invema AFM CLUSTER technology unit and Vicinay Marine Innovación).
